JLG Launches New X1000AJ Crawler Boom

JLG previewed their newest, tallest and most compact crawler boom to date, the X1000AJ, at The Rental Show in February 2018. The new addition to the JLG range provides a working height of 105 ft, horizontal reach of 54 ft, and a 500-pound unrestricted platform capacity.

Developed smart technology has improved the functionality of the boom, allowing operators to complete multiple movements simultaneously. With an articulated column design, the X1000 can work flush with the surface of a structure. The machine also features below-grade capabilities for those who need to complete work both above and below ground level.

JLG X1000AJ is fitted with non-marking tracks for suitability of indoor and outdoor operation. Its compact form allows the machine to fit through a standard double door, movability assisted with the patented platform disconnect system to shorten the unit length to below 20ft when the platform is removed. Loading and unloading is made easy with standard forklift pockets and lift hooks.

One-touch self-levelling outriggers stabilise and level the machine on slopes up to 16 degrees, the unit is also fitted with Teflon-coated outrigger pads to further enhance stability.

X1000AJ is fitted with SkyGuard, JLG’s latest safety feature that temporarily stops and reverses boom functions when activated. It is also fitted with an interactive LCD display to communicate key operator information.

A 76-volt lithium-ion system or Kubota diesel power source are available options.
The X1000AJ comes with fully synthetic biodegradable hydraulic fluid for use in environmentally sensitive areas.

The new JLG X1000AJ machine will be an integral addition to our fleet of access equipment, available to purchase through Access.
