Competition Terms & Conditions

Offer-Specific Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to the Moranbah State of Origin Competition (“Offer”) and are to be read in conjunction with the relevant Hire Agreement and General Offer Terms & Conditions. To the extent of any inconsistency between the Offer, the relevant Hire Agreement and the General Terms and Conditions, the order of priority shall be as follows:

1. The Offer;

2. The Hire Agreement; and

3. The General Offer Terms and Conditions.

1. Promoter

1.1.  This promotional game is governed by the Charitable and Non-Profit Gaming Act 1999 and is considered a category 4 game (“Relevant Legislation”).

1.2.  The ”Promoter” is Access Equipment Group Pty Ltd ABN [53 131 094 874] of 22 Enterprise Court, Canning Vale WA 6155.

2. Competition Period

2.1.  The competition opens at 12:01am AEST on 1 May 2026 and closes at 5:00pm AEST on Monday 22 June 2026 (“Competition Period”).

2.2.  Entries will not be accepted after the cessation of the Competition Period.

3. Eligibility

3.1.  Entry is free and open to eligible Australia Businesses who enter into a Qualifying Hire Contract with Access Hire Moranbah during the Competition Period (“Entrants”)

3.2.  Those not eligible:

3.2.1.  are employees, contractors and immediate family members of employees of the Promoter;

3.2.2.  employees, contractors and immediate family members of employees of the Promoters associated or related entities.

3.2.3.  Any business who are represented by a person under the age of eighteen (18) years old. The Promoter has a right to request and verify ID to qualify the Entrants age. 

3.3.  “Immediate family member” includes spouse, de facto partner, parent, child or sibling.

4. How to Enter

4.1.  To enter the competition, eligible Entrants must during the Competition Period enter into a Qualifying Hire Contract with the Promoter’s Access Hire Moranbah location.

4.2.  Eligible Entrants will automatically receive one (1) free entry into the draw for each Qualifying Hire Contract opened during the Competition Period.

4.3.  Multiple entries are permitted, subject to:

4.3.1.  the hire contract qualifying in accordance with clause 5;

4.3.2.  each qualifying hire contract being genuine and approved by the Promoter; and

4.3.3.  all due account payments being current and not overdue at the time of the draw.

4.4.  The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and determine eligibility in its absolute discretion.

5. Qualifying Hire Contracts

5.1.  A “Qualifying Hire Contract” must:

5.1.1.  be entered into with the Promoter’s Access Hire Moranbah location;

5.1.2.  be accepted by the Promoter prior to 5:00pm AEST on 22 June 2026;

5.1.3.  have a valid purchase order provided to the Promoter prior to the Draw on 24 June 2026; and

5.1.4.  comply with the Promoter’s standard Terms and Conditions of Hire.

5.2.  There is no minimum value for a Qualifying Hire Contract.

5.3.  The following will not be considered Qualifying Hire Contracts:

5.3.1.  cancelled contracts;

5.3.2.  fraudulent accounts or entrants;

5.3.3.  internal accounts;

5.3.4.  cash sales or retail purchases;

5.3.5.  contracts entered into solely for the purpose of manipulating the competition;

5.3.6.  accounts which are linked to employees, contractors and immediate family members of employees of the Promoter or respectively in the same, associated and related entities.

6. Prize

6.1.  There is one (1) “Prize” worth approximately AUD $8,000 including GST, to be won.

6.2.  The Prize consists of:

6.2.1.  return economy flights for four (4) people from Mackay to Brisbane;

6.2.2.  one (1) night accommodation for four (4) people;

6.2.3.  Access for four (4) to experience an unforgettable live Game Day experience in Brisbane on Wednesday 8 July 2026.

6.3.  Prize inclusions are subject to availability and supplier terms and conditions.

7. Prize Conditions

7.1.  The Prize:

7.1.1.  is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash;

7.1.2.  must be taken on the dates specified by the Promoter;

7.1.3.  cannot be rescheduled unless agreed by the Promoter;

7.1.4.  is subject to airline, accommodation and ticket provider terms and conditions.

7.2.  The winner and guests are responsible for:

7.2.1.  travel to and from the departure airport;

7.2.2.  meals;

7.2.3.  spending money;

7.2.4.  travel insurance;

7.2.5.  incidental expenses; and

7.2.6.  any costs not expressly included in the prize description.

7.3.  If the winner or any guest cannot travel on the specified dates, the Prize or relevant unused portion will be forfeited.

7.4.  The Winner must indemnify the Promoter for any breaches of the Supplier, airline, accommodation or ticket provider terms and conditions.

8. Winner Draw

8.1.  The draw will take place at 22 Enterprise Court, Canning Vale WA on Wednesday 24 June 2026 at 2pm AEST.

8.2.  The Winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Competition Period.

8.3.  The Promoter may draw reserve entries in case the winning entry is deemed an ineligible entry or the Prize is unclaimed (in accordance with Clause 10).

9. Winner Notification

9.1.  The Winner will be contacted by phone and/or email within two (2) business days of the draw.

9.2.  The Winner’s name may be published (with consent) on the Promoter’s website and social media channels.

10. Unclaimed Prize Draw

10.1.  If the Prize is not claimed within 24 hours despite the reasonable contact by the Promoter, as noted in clause 9.1, the Promoter reserves the right to conduct a redraw on Thursday 25th June 2026.

10.2.  The redraw winner will be notified in the same manner as the original winner.

11.  Continued Compliance

11.1.  Except as otherwise provided by law, the Promoter has no liability to the Winner or other Entrant for, and the Winner and Entrants releases and discharges the Promoter from all direct, indirect and consequential damages, losses, costs and expenses that may be suffered by the Winner or other Entrant as a result of the Competition.

11.2.  The Winner is responsible for all guests.

11.3.  The Winner must ensure they and their guest comply with all reasonable directions given by officers, employees or agents of the Promoter, any supplier, or any reasonable requirements including, without limitation, directions or requirements in connection with access to the locations, the use of the Prize or the conduct of the Winner and their guests whilst utilising the Prize.

11.4.  The Winner is responsible for all acts or omissions of the guests at any location or venue as part of the Prize, including, without limitation, any loss, damage or injury arising out of such acts or omissions. The Winner must indemnify and keep indemnified the Promoter in respect of any such loss, damage or injury including in connection with any failure to comply with clause 11.3.

11.5.  The Promoter is not liable for the Winner or its guests being refused entry or access in particular, when any person does not comply with the supplier conditions and is refused entry or directed to leave the supplier locations.

11.6.  The Winner must ensure that any guest who is under 18 years of age is accompanied and supervised at all times by his or her parent or guardian (who must be 18 years of age or over).

12.  Publicity

12.1.  By accepting the Prize, the Winner agrees to participate in reasonable promotional activity, including photography, video and social media content relating to the competition without additional compensation.

13.  Privacy

13.1.  Personal information collected in connection with this competition will be handled in accordance with Access Hire’s Privacy Policy.

13.2.  Information may be used for administering the competition and for future marketing communications unless the entrant opts out.

13.3.  Information will be kept for at least five (5) years as required under the Relevant Legislation.

14.  General

14.1.  The Promoter reserves the right to:

14.1.1.  verify the validity of entries;

14.1.2.  disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or breaches these terms;

14.1.3.  amend, suspend or cancel the competition where necessary due to circumstances outside its reasonable control.

14.2.  To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible for any loss, damage or injury suffered in connection with the competition or prize.

14.3.  Participation in the competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

14.4.  The terms and conditions of this Promotion are governed by the laws of Queensland.
